Paul Hamilton's highlights of his performing career include performing as a sideman for John Lee Hooker, Jr., Delores King Williams (The Capitol Steps, Smithsonian Jazz Masterworks Orchestra), Okyerema Asante (percussionist for Paul Simon), and Kenyatta Hill (lead vocalist for Reggae band Culture). Paul has also recorded with Wammie-winning (Washington Area Music Association’s Grammy equivalent) artists such as Christos DC (won Best Reggae Artist/Group in 2020 and 2022) and Bobby Jasinski (won Best Jazz album and Best Jazz Artist in 2021). He has also substituted with the 257th Army Band during their annual training, the Bohemian Caverns Jazz Orchestra, and several local ensembles. On the arranging side, Paul’s big band arrangements have premiered at Jammin' Java, the Udvar-Hazy Air and Space Museum, and Blues Alley.
